Vehicle Description
Beautiful "California Special" '57 Bug! This late-50's Beetle is an authentic oval-window rag top car, having been delivered to the US in June of 1957, retaining its original working semaphore indicators while finished in its code-correct Diamond Green metallic paint. It has been fully restored and tastefully restomodded, now boasting a built-out 2332-cc flat four with an extensive list of extremely high quality parts invested. Highlights include: an FK10 cam, ported and polished heads, AA94 pistons, 1.4 rocker arms, and a Stage 1 clutch with a lightened flywheel mated to a Rancho gearbox. Electrical upgrades like a brand new wiring harness plus an MSD electronic ignition and distributor ensure that this slick Beetle starts and runs reliably. Underneath, the car is built on a PRO Street Plus differential, 4-wheel disc brakes, Sway-Away axels, CB Performance steering box and links.
This is a stout, unique, and well-documented little cruiser, that still retains its numbers-matching pan and chassis. Reach out to us for more information!
