Vehicle Description
Not your average farm truck! This 1994 Land Rover Defender "Project Envoy" was built by noted Land Rover restomodders Debsch Motors out of Houston, Texas. The donor car started life as a genuine left-hand drive TD5 High Altitude vehicle, one of 12 built for the British Foreign Office as transport for diplomats in Switzerland, Italy, and Austria. This rare package gave this particular Defender rare options like ABS braking, air conditioning, auxiliary heat, a heated windshield, and a rear defrost system. The experts at Debsch then commenced a 2000+ hour build, including fully rebuilding the turbo diesel engine, air conditioning system, restoring the frame, and equipping the car with a brand new Ashcroft Land Rover automatic transmission. The fully custom interior includes leather seating, Bentley carpets, a Kahn steering wheel, and an alcantara headliner. The fuel tank, fuel lines, brake system, and brake lines have also been upgraded, along with a fully overhauled lighting system boasting new LEDs. Modern amenities like power windows, bluetooth, a wide-screen infotainment system, and a rear back-up camera bring this brutish rig into the 21st century while still retaining the classic Defender look.
